Beethoven stayed in the house at Rathausgasse 10 in the summers of 1821, 1822 and 1823. During which time he wrote substantial parts of the 9th Symphony.
Since autumn 2014, the Beethovenhaus Baden has housed a museum of a new kind about the person and the musical genius Beethoven. Visitors can experience the composer’s life and work in a completely new and astonishing way. The Biedermeier-style living quarters give an insight into the composer's life and milieu in the city of Baden. In addition, his compositions written in Baden, including the Ninth Symphony, are manifested visually and audibly.
